HUNNAR
“Just had a glimpse through the videos and I must say, it brought a smile to my face.” This was the reaction of Saudamini Shama, one of the judges for Hunnar, a talent hunt that brought out the multitude of extraordinary talent embedded in blue-collar workers.
Embarking on a journey with the intention of helping the blue-collar workers gain confidence and recognition of their own talents, Nepathya Foundation organised Hunnar, a one-of-a-kind talent show. From dance and art, to music and shayari, there was a diverse array of astounding talent and limitless passion.
The nature of their job is the reason due to which many workers are looked down upon and made to feel inferior. Through Hunnar, Nepathya aimed to provide a platform to many workers to revive their sense of accomplishment. As an ode to the sea of talent Nepathya witnessed, cash prizes of upto ₹10,000 were given to the winners along with certificates and Nepathya Kits to all participants. Along with this, a special award hamper was accorded to the special performers. We were lucky to have our esteemed panel of judges consisting of Saudamini Gaur Sharma, Kimberly Manners, Chandra Bannerjee and Abhinaya Penneswaran who came onboard to judge the participants, and gave them confidence to do their best through their motivational messages.
